Elekta Sales Support, Middle East and Africa in Atasehir, Istanbul, Turkey

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Sales Support role will play a key role in supporting the sales team and the distributors in the region. In addition to this the Sales Support role may be asked to represent the company in Congresses, Sales calls and presentations when applicable during visits to countries in the Region.

The ideal candidate would benefit from having a background or experience as a trainee physicist (approx. 1-3 years experience)

This role will be based in Turkey with international travel (up to 30%) within the region and to Elekta offices and therefore the ability to communicate effectively in Turkish and English is an essential requirement for this role.

  • Prepare all quotes for the regions sales team in Salesforce (CLM). Primary focus will be for quotes for Turkey Business Unit with cover when required for Africa and Middle East.

  • Convert quotes to orders within CLM.

  • Answer tenders for the region sales team and distributors

  • Assist the region team in achieving its sales and revenue and margins to targets.

  • Working with the region Management, Product Marketing, Finance, Operations Manager, etc to develop and deploy business plans that support the delivery of corporate targets.

  • Develop and maintain customer a good working relationship with all Distributor/Agent within the region including: healthcare professionals, business managers and funding providers.

  • Attendance and representation of Elekta at conferences, symposiums, shows and other events as and when required.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region, including potential new distributors/agents

  • Development of tender responses and Distributor/Agents ability to respond to Tenders.

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate safety, quality and other regulatory/management systems.

  • Compliance with Export Sanctions in region.

  • Update CLM – account name, quotes, expected order date, expected shipment date, meetings, tenders, next action point, customer contacts, competitor installed base, etc

  • Submit and update all necessary region reports in a timely manner.

Support region with various other tasks as required.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent preferably in a Oncology discipline, with a radiotherapy physics degree highly desirable..

  • Experience gained within a medical radiotherapy (linac, OIS, TPS, advantage to also have a working knowledge of Brachy, and Neuro product range of Elekta).

  • Fluent language skills in Turkish and English is essential

  • Have an understanding of Salesforce (CLM) or equivalent system

  • Highly developed analytical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven success in a medical environment.

  • Business to Business management

  • Must be willing to travel as required (up to 30%)

  • Experience in a quotations role for Capital medical equipment for international sales in Africa, Middle East or Turkey is highly desirable.
