Bioinformatics is a relatively new and rapidly growing interdisciplinary field of science that combines computer science, statistics, mathematics, genetics and engineering to analyze and interpret biological data. We are offering you the opportunity to play an integral part in bringing this exciting and important technology into life.
We are seeking multiple Bioinformatics Analysts within our R&D team in Istanbul and Ankara. As a Bioinformatics Analyst, you will help us improve our platform, analyze large sets of genomic data and help us make personalized medicine a reality. You will develop new bioinformatics tools and approaches for analyzing and visualizing large, complex genomic data sets. You will perform bioinformatics research and development for genome analysis and provide research expertise to engineering team.
Seven Bridges works with some of the largest research organizations in the world, which means you will, too. You can expect to work with individual research groups and departments at top ten universities, pharmaceutical companies, and large consortia. On a regular basis, you can expect to develop, optimize, and apply tools and workflows for processing and analyzing biological data. You will evaluate tools and report to the project and R&D teams to define, validate and implement software in order to improve our product and help researchers around the world.
An ideal candidate has:
Master’s degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, or relevant field is prefered, Bachelor’s degree required
Relevant experience or skills in computational biology, bioinformatics, machine learning, or statistics
Proficiency with at least one of the following technologies: Java, C/C++, R, Python, Perl, and Unix
Experience in next-generation sequencing data analysis and computational proteomics
The proven ability to use, troubleshoot, and teach software.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
The willingness to travel for training and conference attendance (5%)
We also think that...
Previous experience with large-scale genomic data (e.g. RNA-seq, Exome-seq, ChIP-seq, etc.) is a big plus.
Strong publication record in top tier scientific journals to include first author publications is also a big plus.
