Responsibilities:

Technical missions :

Accountable for :

  • Respect of Engineering Management Plan and Design Quality Plan,

  • Track global performances,

  • Requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer, and for transverse requirement allocations to the various subsystems in close collaboration with the relevant specialists,

  • Respect of normative references,

  • Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements,

  • Operational analysis definition and validation by the Customer,

  • Functional analysis and specification,

  • Definition of the global Track System architecture as per the external/internal

  • requirements,

  • Consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications,

  • Efficiency of the transversal studies related to Trackworks (Alignment, Noise & Vibration, Earthing & Bonding…),

  • Applicable track configuration and deliverables list.

Responsible for :

  • Technical interface with customer in order to provide support to Trackwork Project Engineering Manager,

  • Design team management,

  • Checking of sub-contractor, suppliers and in-house track designs and ensure technical compliance,

  • Review and getting approval of design deliverables and reply to comments.

  • Participation into Design Reviews,

  • Preparation and follow up of all correspondences (letters, minutes of meetings, submittals…) related to Track design activities,

  • Definition of components technical criteria and technical evaluation of suppliers,

  • Bill of Quantities (BOQ) elaboration and review,

  • Arbitration on architecture definition between the subsystems to reach the best compromise for the track design,

During track installation :

Accountable for :

  • Resolution of technical open issues in line with project strategy provided by PrEM, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure,

  • Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation,

  • To lead As-built documentation,

  • Provision of Return of Experience to be implemented in Reference Solutions

QCD and reporting :

Accountable for :

  • To support Track Project Engineering Manager for planning of the Track design activities in relation with the project schedule,

  • Supports to Track Project Engineering Manager in improvement proposals in term of QCD and during the change order process,

Qualifications :

Educational: Civil or Mechanical Engineer (Master Degree will be a plus)

Knowledge of civil and mechanical works.

10 years minimum design experience in railway.

5 years minimum Trackwork design experience in railway.

Project and/or construction experience preferred.

Geotechnical and/or structural calculation knowledge as well as track alignment knowledge will be a plus.
