  • Responsible for ensuring that all external Supply Chain demands are managed in the most efficient manner taking into consideration the requirements of the customer to ensure that quotations and repairable items are quoted and delivered in the shortest possible time.

  • To be responsible for ensuring that the correct amount of materials and components to satisfy the customers demands are able to be purchased, taking into consideration the importance of purchasing items which are to the correct specification, arrive on time and meet quality and cost objectives.

  • To be responsible for ensuring that prices and lead times are correct in the system by updating and maintaining quotation data in SAP through the info records and material master screens.

  • Creation of Purchase Orders for sending equipment to external repairers for evaluation or fixed price repairs.

  • To obtain drawings and specifications to enable RFQ’s to be issued to Suppliers.

  • To create RFQ’s to cover the immediate business needs.

  • To expedite responses to the outstanding enquiries.

  • Updating SAP Purchase Orders with Supplier quoted prices and lead times.

  • To resolve delivery problems and to continually monitor Supplier delivery performance.

  • To communicate with Suppliers as necessary to ensure the control of accurate information at all times.

  • To comply with ALSTOM Procedures and the Code of Ethics


  • Advanced University Degree in Engineering / Industrial Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of successful experience as a Project Supply Chain Management, Materials Planning and scheduling within railway/signaling projects & industries

  • Good knowledge on Railway/ Signaling/ Civil Works – Supply Chain Management, Critical Material Requirement Analysis and demonstration of methods and tools

  • Competencies in bottleneck analysis, forecast and monitoring of each work breakdown structure

  • Good knowledge on customized supply chain management tools

  • Fluent in English and Turkish

  • Broad knowledge of the railway environment and engineering practices in particular at System level / Signaling Projects / Railway Projects

  • Time management skill

  • Structured and organized with hands-on approach

  • Very good interpersonal skills
