Shire Product Manager Hematology in Istanbul (Baxalta), Turkey
A high caliber marketing specialist with considerable experience in the field of product management. Role will be responsible for achieving business objectives for assigned products.
The role is office based however important amount of field based interaction will be required. The candidate is expected to demonstrate skills to manage high level relationships with KOL's, decision makers and other stakeholders in the field of Hematology in Turkey.
Plan, deliver and implement an annual marketing program for Turkey that is consistent with global marketing messaging and Brands positioning and will support the local Brands objectives and targets.
Evaluate and interpret market insights, unmet needs & trends to develop a strong Brand Plan to support Brands sales and market growth.
Demonstrate cross functional team alignment and coordination to achieve results
Investigate opportunities for Brands and market development that will enhance perception, sales and patient outcomes in the short and long term.
Meet Shire expectations for quality and compliance with internal policies, codes and procedures and relevant external Codes of Conduct and Legislation.
Build and enhance the positive perception of Shire by demonstrating the Shire Values to customers and community.
Create and implement annual marketing plan and launch plans (where appropriate) for Brands by coordinating input from all parties involved that results in a clear marketing strategy, annual objectives, communication plan and opportunities for Brands development and market growth.
Participate in the Long Range Planning
Produce monthly local forecasts
Stakeholder Engagements (40%)
Create lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with key customers and stakeholders including KOLs, Hematology Field Force, Country BRAND Teams and Shire Global and Regional Marketing.
Create F2F interaction platform for stakeholder engagements through field visits and congress participation to ensure strong relations with KOL’s and field force on alignment on strategy, plans and execution.
Research and anticipate external factors affecting the Brands market by remaining up-to-date on all external developments, legislation, the customer base, clinical papers and world-wide media perspectives etc
Deliver Marketing Plans (30%)
Demonstrate Shire’s leadership in Hematology in National and International Congresses.
Drive & Lead the Marketing and Commercial activities.
Monitor effectiveness of promotion against agreed objectives.
Manage promotional budgets to remain within agreed spending levels.
Implement strategies to maximize pricing and product mix opportunities.
To anticipate current and future trends in disease management and market environment which are likely to affect performance and potential of the product including competitor activity.
Produce marketing material to support strategy and objectives for Brands that complies with company processes and relevant Code of Conduct.
To communicate effectively within the organization to ensure motivation and alignment of sales force and other key people in achievement of product objectives.
Inspire the company around Brand and be recognized as “Brand Champion” by developing and continuously updating knowledge of therapy, products and market, for self and the field force.
In collaboration with the regional leadership and Marketing counterparts, conduct Advisory Board meetings when required.
Brief and monitor agencies to ensure integrated marketing communications strategy is reflected in all activities and that communication goals are met.
Education & Experience Requirements
Include educational requirements or equivalency, required years and type(s) of experience, and necessary licenses or certificates. Specify which are required and which are preferred.
Relevant university degree in Marketing /Science or Pharmacy
5+ years experience as a Product Manager in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology
IT skills in standard Microsoft office applications
Masters Degree in a biological or medical science or medical qualification OR Marketing
Business qualification e.g. MBA
Experience in rare disease or chronic disease management preferably in the field of Hematology and Oncology
Experience with product launch in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
Pharmaceutical sales experience in the field
