Your Role

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Assistant Procurement Manager - Global Tropical Oils to be located in Turkey who will support oils procurement by coordinating procurement resources and leveraging global and cluster supplier network to deliver on supply chain and country/cluster/global targets.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Support the design and implementation of commodities strategy (primary focus on Oils and Fats)

  • Analyze and develop deep understanding of the supply markets, including external economic factors which influence those markets

  • Prepare information on purchase prices and conditions and support the financial analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis

  • Support in identifying and building partnerships with key suppliers on an operational level (incl. contract management) and manage supplier compliance (audits, specifications, general terms and conditions)

  • Act as a key contact for factories regarding in time delivery, quality and supplier service of oils portfolio

  • Monitor overall performance of the supply network and ensure continuous improvement

  • Work closely together with the Commodity Fats Risk Management team to ensure a flawless conversion from crude oil to refined oil

  • Execute cost savings and support deployment of innovation agenda at global and regional levels

  • Support the periodic Executive Summary for the cluster and global teams by consolidating and reporting relevant KPIs

  • Drive implementation of BCS’s Sustainability agenda in Procurement area

  • Represent BCS at the relevant Industry Bodies

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Proven and relevant track record in Oils and Fats Procurement at least 3 years, experience from a commodities company is advantage

  • Experience in ingredients buying and Commodity risk management experience is a plus, as well as experience on large-scale change management projects and in international assignments

  • Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication
