On Friday 15th December, it was announced that Unilever was to sell the Spreads business to KKR and the transfer of ownership is expected to take place in July 2018. KKR is committed to supporting the business’ growth ambition, whilst continuing to follow Unilever’s responsible sourcing policies, including working towards the goal of sourcing 100% sustainable palm oil by 2019.
We are looking for a NAMETRUB and Africa Procurement Operations Manager to be located in Turkey who will support BCS strategy and deliver on Supply Chain and NAMETRUB and Africa Clusters targets by aligning Procurement resources, leveraging the supplier network for materials and services within the geographical area and by connecting with other functions (Marketing, R&D and Supply Chain)
Key Responsibility Areas:
Integrate global / regional sourcing strategies with business and category demands, ensuring timely inputs to global/regional project development and OTIF execution of global/regional projects in the cluster
Identify and build partnerships with key suppliers on an operational level. Supplier Relationship Management focused on service, quality, cost and delivery for raw, pack materials and services
Act as a key procurement contact in NAMETRUB and Africa Clusters, working alongside Marketing, R&D and SC teams to integrate sourcing strategy and identify the needs within the cluster and translate them into projects with selected suppliers (incl. innovation projects)
Development of contingency plans and alternatives to ensure supply security
Execute the rationalization strategy for suppliers, materials, and services to meet BCS’s business requirements
Drive the implementation of performance metrics, tools and processes to monitor overall performance of the supply network and optimise procurement activities
Communication of price trend for materials and services to the local Finance team as an input to the business plan
Initiate ideation workshops (internal and with suppliers) to support identification and implementation of savings
Drive sustainable sourcing strategies, roadmaps and reporting / verification of materials
Represent BCS at industry events and key sustainability platforms, roundtables and external interviews and communication
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven and relevant track record in Materials and Indirects Procurement for at least 5-6 years within a multinational environment
Experience on large-scale change management projects and in international assignments is a plus
Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in both verbal and written communication
Fluency in English both written and verbal
