Job Summary

  • Ensure all guest preferences are taken and actioned that is to say shift log book should be followed and checked.

  • Welcome the guest upon arrival, and familiarize them with everything in the room and hotel.

  • Rooming all arrival guests and all butler services are well explained and actively offered such as unpacking, pressing, shoeshine and complimentary beverage

  • Serve the guest Welcome Beverage Service upon arrival

  • Set up the wake up Tea and Coffee service trays; mis en plus for the next shift

  • Serve Private Dining in rooms when the guests require and promote up sale

  • Schedule pick up on Starguest - Remove any room service trolleys and trays from the guest room or floor and pick-up from the lift landing area

  • Do shoe shine, delivery, assist the guest for packing and unpacking services

  • Replenish daily fruit, afternoon and/or turn down amenity as per standard

  • Follow the charge through room phone and restock of Refreshment Centre for guest rooms

  • Serve wake up tea/coffee at the appropriate times and as guest requires

  • Pick-up and deliver guest laundry/ pressing based on guest requested time

  • To fill the ice bucket upon rooming the guest or upon request

  • Handling guest complaints and record in the butler report and inform the Guest Recognition Manager & Duty Supervisor about the incident and follow-up with resolve the issue

  • Write logs for on-going events and guest challenges via BSD additionally butler group.

  • Take care of any guest requests and complete them within the appropriate time. If unable to complete within your shift, ensure to handoverto next shift accordingly, via BSD and group

  • Work with the required computer systems to update guest information or comments for future reference

  • Restock the Butler pantries such as coffee, tea, water, sugar, milk, tray linens, napkins and necessityin order to keep in working order at any time

  • Tidy up pantry, washing of cups, glassware’s, plates, utensils before the end of the shift

  • Check the dish wash chemical and ask chief steward to change when require

  • Report maintenance faults and damage to machines, furniture and fittings in all area of the guestroom floor to the maintenance department and follow-up with the status

  • Set-up the rooms for the arriving guests as per guest history / special amenities and request

  • Set-up welcome amenity according to the room/VIP type

  • Promote the hotel restaurant and spa facilities and offer to make reservation

  • Develop and update the guest history, Prepare a handover to the next shift share all necessary information via BSD and group

  • Follow guidelines and standard practice of HACCP, Ensure to comply with the grooming standard

  • Turn in any Lost & Found at the Housekeeping Office

  • Report any unusual and suspicious behaviour of guests or staff to supervisor and security immediately

  • Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the work place

  • Conduct duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with St Regis Istanbul policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained

  • Comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures

  • Able to work any shift that is assigned to him/her by Management or Supervisor

  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her

  • Able to coordinate and conduct butler training as required
