Purpose of the Job:

The HR Specialist will take a key role in ensuring all HR strategic, transactional & administrative activities are delivered with on-time and high quality of service to the employees and managers.


  • Implement the organization’s workforce planning strategy, through smoothly running recruitment process from the beginning till the end, up to on-boarding

  • Discussing business needs and required qualifications with hiring managers.

  • Recruiting, interviewing and assessing candidates, checking references and performing background checks when needed to make the most appropriate hiring decisions.

  • Organizing and running orientation sessions.

  • Prepare and implement training & development plans

  • Support the administration and logistics of the training programs when needed

  • Responsible for document preparation and fulfilling administrative requirements according to the legislation for: hiring / termination / internal moves, compensation change etc.

  • Timely reflection of all changes in employee files as well as ALPS (Alstom People Management System).

  • Providing user support when needed for employees and managers in ALPS.

  • Coordinate internal / external stakeholders for managing effectively the admin processes on work permits and relocation.

  • Informing and assisting the assignee throughout the process in order to ensure a smooth integration.

  • Preparation of the monthly and other periodical employee related reports


  • Bachelor degree preferably in human resources management, employment law or similar areas.

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in HR function, preferably in an international environment

  • Ability to build strong relationships, influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results

  • Self-driven personality with good level of problem-solving and decision making skills

  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation

  • Knowledge of labor and employment law, organizational development and best practices.

  • Strong communication skills in English and local language

  • Proficient in MS Office applications

The position is based in Istanbul with 1 year temporary contract.
