Summary Job Description ​

  • Preparing, updating and implementing respective plans (Brand Operational Plans/Brand Strategic Plans) including short and long-term sales/market share/profitability targets of the brands in his/her area of responsibility,

  • Gathering and interpreting accurately the customer segmentation, market analyses, SWOT, competitor analyses, other developments within the sector and the respective data to ensure that the brand plans will reach the targets, integrating these to the operational plans and keeping the plans updated,

  • Leading strategic decisions to improve business performance,

  • Developing and implementing alternative/back up plans and strategies in a proactive manner in case of regulatory changes, changes driven by the brand and competition etc.,

  • Contributing to ensure that consistent forecasts are made for the market, market share and sales to maintain the continuity of the growth of the brand and to make maximum use of the potential; to work in cooperation with Marketing Manager and the brand team if necessary to ensure that long term plans are made and revised in line with AstraZeneca planning processes,

  • Making the most efficient use of the budget through planning the marketing activities in a manner to provide the maximum benefit to ensure that the defined profitability and sales targets are reached,

  • Defining the communication strategy for the target customer portfolio for each brand, sharing /improving/implementing this strategy with the respective functions/persons,

  • Visiting pharmacies through planning dual visits with the field force to ensure that possible problems are solved,

  • Maintaining effective communication with the global brand teams/marketing groups for reasons such as sharing information and good/effective practices etc.,

  • Working collaboratively with the business development team to enrich pharmacy brand portfolio, making respective forecasts and building up effective strategies,

  • Establishing a bilateral communication with the field force to ensure that the strategic and operational plans are appropriately implemented, informing, directing, and providing feedback to and receiving feedback from product promotion and pharmacy team during periodical and other meetings and following up the implementation of the plan across Turkey,

  • Assuming the responsibility for the leadership of the Brand Team created with the participation of the Business Unit, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory departments and other functions in his/her area of responsibility; organizing regular meetings; coordinating the decision-making process in meetings, and driving performance by ensuring that the decisions made and brand operational plans are implemented,

  • Following up practices and regulations of the Ministry of Health / Organizations which are communicated by Regulatory & Market Access Department in the company and take necessary actions,

  • Keeping an uninterrupted communication, building and maintaining strong relations with the aim of increasing the recognition/awareness of the brand strategy by the respective functions within AZ.
