Shire Senior Financial Analyst in Istanbul, Turkey
ROLE: Senior Financial Analyst
Ensure US GAAP / IFRS financial requirements are delivered and adhered to in line with corporate financial policies and local accounting regulations
Perform Monthly/Quarterly/Annual corporate reporting and submitting US GAAP accounts to the Hyperion consolidation system
Supervise the monthly close on a timely basis and make sure the books are closed on time
Manage Balance sheet review
Interface with Shared Services Centre in Ireland
Key contact for integration projects: ERP systems integration, legal entity consolidation, other finance projects
Support country commercial organization by brand plans, annual budgets, monthly forecasts
Analyze financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. Supporting Senior Management Team with in-depth analysis
Support Senior Management Team in preparing country presentations
Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
Education and Qualifications
University degree in finance/economics
Professional qualification (CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be a strong asset
Deep knowledge of US GAAP and finance business partnering
Commercial knowledge in pharma sector is a plus
Minimum 4-5 years of experience
Previous “Big 4” experience is a plus
Financial planning, Accounting, Audit, Controlling, Reporting, Budgeting
Hyperion, IBM COGNOS TM1, SAP
Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communicator– this is central to the success of the role, since the ability to persuade and negotiate
Pro-active in both thought and action. Excellent at taking initiative (Self-Starter), guiding and influencing others outside the finance team toward goal accomplishment. Must be focused on working with the team to maximize overall value.
Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment
