DHL Express, Inc. Project Manager – Project Based (for 1,5 years) in Turkey
The Job §The IST New GTW is the largest single investment in TR; this role is responsible for the successful delivery of this project. §Oversees and is accountable for all aspects of project (Cost, Timescale, Quality, Scope, Risk and Benefits).§Manage the complete life cycle of the IST New GTW project and monitor and control the progress at a project level.§Organise and chair project workstream meetings.§Report and present to European Steering Group and prepare updates for Express Global and DHL Excom and DHL Corporate Boards.§Recommend actions to steering group to ensure successful delivery.§Direct and motivate the project team.§Plan, monitor and communicate the project, both internally and externally.§Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources.§Identify and obtain necessary business support for the management, planning and control of the project.§Authorise work packages required to deliver the project. §Manages communications between multi disciplinary team members to promote project wide teamwork using effective communication tools including project management tools. §Works with Regional PMO to share lessons learned and best practices.
Prepare End Project and Lessons Learnt reports. The Person §Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics etc. §Exceptional project / programme management skills.§Recognised project management qualification (ideally Prince II or equivalent). §Very strong change management skills.§Strong diplomatic skills, considerate to others objectives, without allowing own to be compromised.§Ability to facilitate large project multi disciplinary teams. §Ability to delegate tasks to project teams and facilitate flow of work. §Well organized and multi tasking skills. §Ability to work in a dynamic (time pressured) environment. §Exceptional written verbal and communications skills, including experience with Executive presentations and interactions. §Ability to evaluate, recruit and develop project management talent. §Excellent negotiation skills. §Excellent financial understanding particularly related to BCA’s.§Good business acumen (understanding the bigger picture, whilst delivering the specific responsibilities).§Minimum five years relevant programme / large project management experience. §Proven experience in multi discipline projects management /change management.§Excellent operational process knowledge. §Strong operations management experience.§Excellent command of both written and spoken English. “DPDHL is an equal opportunity employer and promotes diversity in the workplace.”
